gas vs pressure thingy

In this lab I used neon molecules, I added pressure and added heat and saw what would happen. When i added heat I recognized that the neon molecules would start to vibrate wildly and after a while the molecules would be flying around the container but when i removed the heat the the molecules would settle down. I also noticed that when you pump the neon molecules into the container they would be attracted  by the other molecules. Also when you pump them in if you lower the temperature they come into the container very slowly. Lastly is that when you increase the pressure to the container the pressure Gage would show it and if you increase the pressure the top of the container would fly off.
