Namibia's Naankuse wildlife sanctuary http://www.dogonews.com/

In Namibia's Naankuse wildlife sanctuary is an amazing place where the Kalahari Bushmen and cheetahs live together in harmony. In the sanctuary there are three cheetahs, two females and one male. The two females lost their mother to a wild animal and the male lost his to a poacher, they are all orphans. The three cheetahs are not only spoiled by the bushmen but also by Lucky a three legged cheetah that is almost like a mother to them.  I found it amazing that the bush men wold spoil them with food and mice to play with but also that Lucky taught them how to hunt and live in the wild.

The sad thing is that both bushmen and cheetah are on the endangered list, the estimates for cheetahs left in the wild is only 12,000 to 15,000 and for bushmen governments are making them move and their are only 35,000.

Current event 1! Paper Airplane goes to space. http://www.dogonews.com/

The Paper airplane was made by three scientists in Madrid, Spain of October 28th. At first you think it's an ordinary plane that kids make at school and throw them around, that would be awesome but no. It is a guinness plane made of stiff holding paper (maybe paper mache) and straw. On the plane there was a camera to capture images, a small play mobile person and a GPS, and to get all technical a back-up beacon transmitter and a release mechanism. This amazing guinness plane was called '' The Vulture 1''.

The launch of '' The Vulture 1'' was in Madrid, Spain on October 28th just outside Madrid on a field. The plane then was attached to a balloon and lifted into the air by the helium, later when the balloon had reached 89,000 feet thanks to the low-pressure enviroment the balloon popped and sent the plane gliding down calmly. It hit ground next to Pelayos, Dam amazingly it was 40 miles away from where it was launched, thanks to the camera it got amazing pictures on its way down and up. Luckyly the plane was found intact and got good quality pictures during it soft ride from space which took about 90 minutes.

Mixtures Homogenous and heterogenous

                                              Heterogenous Mixture.

The heterogenous mixtures are made up of more than one phrase, and they can be separated not with machine but with hand. For example if raspberries and strawberries are in one container they are heterogenous mixtures because you can separate them by hand. Another reason why they would be heterogenous is because you can see the difference between strawberries and raspberries.

                                                                   Homogeneous Mixture

Homogenous mixtures, unlike the heterogeneous mixtures the homogenous mixtures only have one phrase. A few solutions like salt-water and rubbing alcohol are considered homogenous mixtures because they are all in one phrase. The reason is because salt water is just salt mixed with water, rubbing alcohol is isoproply. I think homogenous mixtures are just one substance that is made of 2 different substances.

Venezuelan Swimmer Smashes Free Diving Record http://www.dogonews.com/

Carlos coste is a Venezuelan competitive diver that is 34 years old, and he has got his way into the Guinness world record books.

The way that he did it is by swimming, he swam at a depth of 150 meters without any supply of oxygen.Carlos swam through the tunnels of the colossal underwater cave network of Dos Ojos which is found in the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. What i found fascinating was that he did this amazing adventure while holding his breath for a little above two minutes, but that was no problem for Carlos he trained himself to hold his breath for 7 minutes. I can hold mine for only 45 seconds.

Carlos swam with a mono-fin and a underwater torch. Diving for Carlos is a big deal, to my suprise he has been practicing for 3 years! Carlos says that diving at such depths is not about going as fast as one can, but about finding a steady pace and being in the best hydrodynamic position. I think this quote is smart because the first thing that comes to mind when your holding your breath is '' go fast it will work better and you'll be done sooner''. But from what I understood from Carlos's word is the exact opposite.

Carlos in the end was very happy from what he had achieved. Carlos had made his way into the guiness world record books but also had found a way of combining his passion for swimming and speleology.

Yves Rossy A.K.A. Jetman, latest stunt. http://www.dogonews.com/

The current event that i read about is about a swiss adventurer who does amazing stunts with a winged jet pack.

His latest stunt was pulled on november 5th, his location where he did it was in the swiss skeis. Yves is a former pilot. One of his amazing stunts that he is best known for is in 2008 he flew across the english channel. Yves latest stunt was doing two airial loops while jumping at the height of 2,400 meters. The part that amazed me and the rest of the people in the world is that he did this stunt without testing his new equipment first. Instead he just tested it while he did his stunt. To me i would think that would be my first and last test. Now that Yves has upgraded to carbon fiber 'wings' that are attached to small kerosene burning engines the rest is the world belives that he will do great stunt, but people are just dieing to know exactly what.
